BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — At 2 1/2, Artie is a playful bloodhound, but on Sunday, she was all business when the call came into the Baldwin County Sheriff’s office about a missing child in Bay Minette.

“Apparently, an autistic non-verbal child had wandered from the house,” said Lt. Andy Ashton.
Deputy Joseph Hughes grabbed Artie and headed to the neighborhood.
“This is her first test since we’ve gotten her,” said Hughes.
Certified only three weeks ago, this “first test” for Artie was a big one.
“It was a fairly panicked call,” said Ashton. “You had parents of the child and neighbors all out looking for the child by the time we arrived.”…
