Immigrants and their advocates took to the streets of downtown Newark on Monday for a rally and march calling on the state to divest from a company contracted by ICE to create immigrant tracking software.
More than 150 marchers, most of them wearing light blue T-shirts reading “No Detention, No Deportation, No Family Separation,” gathered for a noon rally at Military Park, before marching a dozen blocks down Broad Street to Lincoln Park.
