Corpus Christi Pride Parade returns with safety top of mind

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As Corpus Christi’s Pride Parade returns to Water’s Edge Park this Saturday, organizers say security is a key focus with a coordinated plan between local police and private guards.

Conor Rice, a local activist and the parade’s 2025 Emerging Leader Grand Marshall, said safety has been central to planning this year’s event.

“And I know that with the private security and the CCPD side, you know, thinking about our security was intentional, and it was a key component towards to people feeling safe,” Rice said. “Because when you come to an event, especially here at Waters Edge Park and anywhere you should want to feel safe in your surroundings, and with that multi component of private security and CCPD collaboration, we can assure that that will be a success here.”…
