Abbeville family fears for safety after bullet hits home

ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) — A woman in Abbeville is fearful for her and her son’s safety after their home was struck by a bullet Monday night.

Dolla Walker, who has lived in her home for only a couple of months, reported hearing an explosion while watching TV in her living room. She says her son, a 20-year-old with a disability, came out of his bedroom, and they both went outside to investigate.

“I was sitting, watching TV in the living area. Whenever I heard an explosion hit the living room and my son came out of the bedroom and we walked outside, we looked all around,” Walker said. “We didn’t see anything but the neighbor going into his house. Being that it was dark, I wasn’t able to really see what was going on. So, first thing this morning I came out, and I noticed there was a gunshot.”…
