Cecil County police investigation ends with major drug arrest

CECIL COUNTY — A yearlong investigation by the Cecil County Drug Task Force ended on Tuesday (Sept. 23), when police confiscated nearly three pounds of suspect cocaine during a traffic stop in Delaware and arrested a man who had been the focus of that probe, according to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office.

CCSO officials identified Eddie Harley as the suspect, whom Delaware State Police troopers arrested Tuesday on Interstate 95 amid a surveillance operation that covered several law enforcement jurisdictions, including Pennsylvania.

“Harley was responsible for the distribution of multiple kilograms of cocaine in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia,” reported Lt. Michael Zack, a CCCSO spokesman. (A kilogram translates to approximately 2.2 pounds.)…
