Callers report early morning gunshots, Green Bay PD finds damaged tree near walking trail

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – After multiple callers reported hearing gunshots early Wednesday morning, officers in Green Bay investigated and found a tree near a walking trail that was damaged by gunfire.

Officials with the Green Bay Police Department told Local 5 that officers were called to the area of Dousman Street and North Fisk Street just before 7 a.m. on October 1 after getting several callers reporting gunshots.

Officers investigated and found evidence of gunfire and a tree that was damaged with reported evidence of gunfire. The incident happened along the Sgt Benjamin Edinger Trail.
