California man arrested for grand theft after using stolen credit card on BSU campus

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise State University officers received a report from someone who lost their wallet in a campus building. They also reported that an unknown suspect used their credit card, spending over $1,300 at various local businesses.

BPD’s Organized Retail Crime Unit began working with the businesses to identify the suspect. Evidence indicates the suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Joshua Cantrell of Paso Robles, California, stole the victim’s wallet and made purchases at 10 stores on Sept. 11…
