Close call caught on tape as deputy makes traffic stop

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (KDVR) — Law enforcement officers are once again asking drivers to be aware of the “Move Over Law” designed to protect them and others from being struck on roadways.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office posted a video showing a deputy who was nearly hit while conducting a traffic stop. The video shows the deputy as he makes his way back to his patrol car, and another vehicle can be seen passing by in the next lane over.

Moments later, the deputy pulls that vehicle over for violating the state’s Move Over Law.
