SF man arrested for second-degree murder after assault

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man has been arrested for second-degree murder after a deadly assault.

According to Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Cole German, officers were dispatched to 800 North Dakota Avenue just after 1 p.m. Monday for a weapons violation.

Upon arrival, officers found 70-year-old James Lipscomb with serious injuries. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Three other people were in the residence at the time, but they were not injured.

Timothy Bellonger, 54, was identified as the lone suspect in the incident and was arrested for assault and charged with second-degree murder…
