RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A new slate of laws has taken effect Oct. 1.
The 173 new laws make up just a fraction of what was passed this last legislative session, and include:
- AB29: Requires gas stations to display the actual price customers will pay
- AB111: Makes it a criminal offense to drive the wrong way down the road
- AB194: Makes it a civil infraction to knowingly release balloons outside
- SB338: Requires upfront pricing to be disclosed on live entertainment
- SB309: Increases jail sentences for repeat DUI offenders
- AB123: Prohibits threats towards political candidates
- AB148: Creates a new deadline for mail ballots to be distributed
