SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – A lawsuit filed by an elderly woman who was shoved to the ground by a Sparks firefighter is now settled.
The city’s insurer agreed to the settlement with Maureen Hvegholm, who was feeding stray cats outside the fire station back in 2022 when surveillance video showed Timothy Egan use a leg sweep to take her down to the ground.
Her family says she hit her head in the fall and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, leaving her with lasting effects…
