Asheville Costco review delayed to November

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Plans for a Costco Wholesale in the Enka/Candler area will face city review later than originally scheduled after the applicant requested a delay.

The proposal, which calls for a 160,940-square-foot Costco development, including a 32-pump fueling station and a tire center, was initially scheduled for the Technical Review Committee meeting on Oct. 6. The discussion has now been moved to Nov. 3.

The project planned for roughly 25 acres at 264 and 274 Enka Heritage Parkway would also extend the parkway and request technical modifications to the Unified Development Ordinance, including allowances for extra parking…
