HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Hoover Police Department announced Tuesday afternoon an arrest in connection to a double shooting that occurred Monday night.
Authorities arrived to The Haven Apartment Homes around 5:51 p.m. Monday on a report of shots fired. Two men who had been shot were transported to UAB Hospital after the Hoover Fire Department arrived on the scene. One victim has since been released, and the other was in stable condition.
Police identified Rahman Thomas Hayes, 27, as a suspect who lives at the complex. A police officer found Hayes around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Chace Drive near Cahaba Cove.
