NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — North Charleston Police Chief Ron Camacho is asking the public to be mindful when holding officers accountable after a recent video of an incident at a CVS Pharmacy circulated online.
Police responded to the store at 5215 Ashley Phosphate Road around 1:32 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, following a call from the store supervisor.
“I have two young men who are yelling and screaming inside the store. One of them threatened me with a weapon,” said the woman in the audio of the phone call obtained by News 4. “They were trying to sell candy outside, and I told him not to. Then he started swearing, causing a scene in the store, and he said, ‘I’m going to take out like a… it sounded like a knife and like hit you with it.’ Then he made a scene in the whole store.
