HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A potential new multi-residential district rezoning request along Freewood Road and Bay Road is sparking concern for several community members.
Several residents who live off of Freewoods Road, who wanted to remain anonymous, said a new multi-residential district is the last thing they want coming to the area. They said the traffic in that area has already gotten worse over the last few years, and even more homes would make it unbearable.
If the subdivision is approved, the new development would provide 149 single-family homes over 52.39 acres of land. The received application for the rezoning came from Earthworks on behalf of Sampit River Investments LLC…
