AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo Police Department said its Violent Crimes Unit is investigating after a late Saturday night shooting in the 200 block of SW 6th Avenue left two people injured.
According to the police department, officers responded to an events center in the 200 block of SW 6th Avenue at around 11:58 p.m. Saturday, after a report of a shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, according to the department, they were told two people had “non-life-threatening” injuries as a result of the shooting.
