IOWA CITY, Iowa — A rally in Iowa City brought together county officials and the community to discuss their concerns with free speech. Brydie Criswell was a participant at the event and says she showed up to defend her rights and the rights of others.
“Our constitutional rights, they need to be defended. They are being violated left and right in this administration. People are afraid to speak up, not only as a whole as a country, but in public institutions for fear of retribution. And it’s getting worse and worse,” Criswell said.
