SHREVEPORT, La. — Follow-up interviews and information from witnesses get the credit for the Shreveport Police Department’s quick arrest of a man in the city’s latest homicide.
Shreveport police officers responded around 11:30 p.m. Monday to a report of gunfire at the intersection of Egan Street and Gilbert Avenue. They found a vehicle with multiple bullet holes, and the only occupant, Gerald D. Washington, 55, was slumped inside. He had been shot several times.
