ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – As our city welcomes hundreds of thousands of people for Balloon Fiesta, some organizations are hoping to bring attention to topics they feel are important through billboards.
You may have already seen some of them as you travel along I-25 towards Balloon Fiesta Park.
One national organization putting the signs up is JewBelong, a nonprofit with a mission to battle antisemitism. They feel placing their billboard in Albuquerque is important not only to capitalize on the Balloon Fiesta crowds, but because the city has had almost a 500% increase in antisemitic incidents since 2022…
