Erie residents now have a new destination for rest and relaxation. Relaxapy, short for relaxation therapy, officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its salt cave and halotherapy center. This unique space is designed to promote healing, mindfulness, and calmness through the natural antimicrobial properties of salt.
Ingrid Renberg, the owner of Relaxapy and a full-time psychiatrist, shared her passion for helping people find peace. “I do believe in modern medicine. I believe that holistic medicine — that they can go hand in hand. And so I wanted to offer a place in Erie, where people could come and take a moment for themselves and really just prioritize their health in a non-stress environment. And, I’ve had people come by and say that it’s been very helpful; that they feel better when they walk out.”
The project has been in development for 18 months, and Renberg credits Gannon University’s Small Business Development Center for helping her turn this dream into a reality…
