Bay Area restaurant owner allegedly fired gun at man amid argument over bill

A North Bay restaurant owner was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing a gun at a person in an argument over a bill, police said. The altercation happened in Santa Rosa at Dos Culturas Restaurant, at 1709 Santa Rosa Ave., Santa Rosa police said in a news release.

Officers responded to a report of a possible shooting just after 4 a.m., Brandon Matthies, a spokesperson for the department, told SFGATE. He said policebelieve the altercation happened shortly before they arrived.

Police said the owner, a 48-year-old man, was drinking alcohol inside the restaurant with a 37-year-old man. The two began arguing over a bill, which turned into a physical fight that continued outside, police said…
