San Antonio police officer suspended over excessive force, failure to report incident, records show

A San Antonio police officer received a 30-day suspension this summer after an internal investigation determined that he used excessive force on a suspect, city records show.

Officer Jordan Helire received the punishment over allegations he yanked a female suspect from his patrol vehicle, allowing her to be injured as she fell in an “uncontrolled manner,” according to disciplinary documents. The paperwork also accuses him of failing to report the injury to a supervisor.
