Reptiles Take Over Dallas Market Hall

From Sept 6-7, the North American Reptile Breeders Conference, NARBC, brought together reptile breeders and enthusiasts alike at Dallas Market Hall. The event united over 100 vendors from across the nation, showcasing spectacular snakes, interesting insects and peculiar plants.

Brian Potter, co-owner of NARBC, said that this event was one of the biggest turnouts in Dallas since its launch in 2001. “Every show gets better and better and increases in attendance,” Potter said. “What separates our show from any of the other local shows is that we get vendors from further distances that come in to vend and attendees that fly in from further distances as it is such a large show.” Conferences are held in Illinois, Missouri and Dallas.

The keynote guest at NARBC Dallas this year was Emily Roberts from Snake Discovery, a reptile and wildlife refuge in Maplewood, Minnesota that boasts a YouTube following of over 3 million. The line on Sept 6 to meet and take a photo with Emily, according to one attendee, was about 3 to 4 hours long…
