Castle Rock tow truck driver sentenced to prison after auto theft scheme

A tow truck driver from Castle Rock has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple felony charges, including motor vehicle theft, forgery and operating a chop shop.

Brian Chacon, 34, operated Eagle Wing Towing out of Aurora and was sentenced by Douglas County Judge Ryan Stuart on Sept. 29 for an auto theft scheme that targeted dozens of unsuspecting vehicle owners across the Denver metro area.
