For the Oregon Department of Transportation, the tricks came early in the form of thousands of pepitas all over the road.
ODOT employees spent Tuesday morning cleaning up a 200-foot stretch of road that was littered with pumpkin seeds. A tweet from the transportation department showed workers sweeping a mess of seeds on the asphalt of U.S. 20 just east of Corvallis.
