Officer-involved shooting in St. Pauls under investigation

ST. PAULS — An officer-involved shooting in St. Pauls is under investigation, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon and ended with one person dead and another in custody.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office has requested the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NC SBI) to investigate the incident, which is routine in situations involving an officer-involved shooting.

On Thursday, at approximately 1 p.m., Robeson County Sheriff’s Office investigators and SWAT Operators, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Hope Mills Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and United States Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force executed a search warrant at 416 Ice Cream Drive in St. Pauls…
