Man critical after east side police shooting – News 8 at 10

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An unarmed felon was critically injured when three police officers shot at him as they approached him at a garage next to a home on the east side of Indianapolis, IMPD said.

Medics and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to an investigation and a person shot at 5:50 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North Grant Avenue. That’s in the Shannon Park housing addition, also known as the Grace Tuxedo Park neighborhood. It’s just off East 10th Street a couple of blocks west of Linwood Square shopping center.

During a news conference that began about 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Maj. Seth Ferrell with IMPD’s criminal investigations division said officers working to fight violent crime were searching for the man, whose identity was not publicly shared during the news conference…
