Marion County Public Schools leaders work on plan for gun-sniffing dogs in elementary schools

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Marion County School Board members are talking about a plan to allow gun-sniffing dogs in elementary schools.

Board members hope to have a policy worked out by the end of the month. They talked about the plan during a workshop on Thursday.

The discussion continues on Friday with school district leaders. Officials hope to meet with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office to discuss the policy at a later date…
