BOROUGH PARK AND SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — PESACH TIKVAH in Brooklyn is part of a cohort of 13 newly-Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Thursday, Oct. 2.
The state Office of Mental Health, in partnership with the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, administers these clinics, which provide fully integrated person-centered and trauma-informed care for New Yorkers experiencing behavioral health issues, regardless of their ability to pay for this treatment. A Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic helps people improve their health by making it easier to get into treatment, and keeps people from being hospitalized unnecessarily. It also liaises between hospitals and community providers, particularly in under-served areas.
Pesach Tikvah, which has locations on 18th Avenue in Borough Park and on Broadway in South Williamsburg, offers a wide range of community support services, including Kesher Connection, which helps persons in need find help; a group therapy program for women over 60, and a Holocaust survivors mental health support system…
