PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man accused of trying to take photos of a woman in the restroom at a Providence coffee shop has resigned from the Rhode Island Division of Sheriffs, 12 News has learned.
Last week, Jeffrey Cahoon, 34, was placed on administrative leave after appearing in court on a disorderly conduct charge in connection with the incident at the Starbucks on Johnson & Wales University’s (JWU) Downcity campus.

The state’s transparency portal showed Cahoon worked as a deputy sheriff with the Rhode Island Department of Public Safety. State police confirmed Thursday that Cahoon has since resigned.
