ROCHESTER, N.Y. – New statistics on domestic violence in Monroe County and Rochester have revealed alarming trends.
According to the Monroe County and Willow Domestic Violence Center, 38,000 domestic dispute calls were made to 911 in 2023, a number officials said is high. Reports of domestic violence in Rochester occurred two and a half times more often than the state average, while Monroe County saw cases at 1.6 times the New York average.
