20-acre ‘town square’ project will anchor new Houston-area community

KATY, Texas — Johnson Development has announced plans for a new 20-acre amenity complex called Ricestead in the Grange master-planned community, aiming to create a modern-day town square with pools, pickleball courts, retail and green space.

At the heart of Ricestead will be a large village green, designed for outdoor concerts, farmers markets, seasonal celebrations and other community events, developers said. Anchoring the green is Harvest Hall, a clubhouse featuring a fitness center, community room, co-working space, a conference room and offices for homeowners association and lifestyle staff.
