Mo. woman faces additional charge after teen dies in crash during chase

MONTGMERY COUNTY— A driver injured in a crash during a police chase in Montgomery County is now facing a possible murder charge.

Three people were injured in the accident that occurred just after 4p.m. on September 26 and one later died.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Jeep driven by Tenisha D. Mayberry, 38, Blue Springs, Mo., was northbound on Patterson Boulevard fleeing law enforcement. The driver failed to yield at a stop light at 8th Street in Coffeyville and struck the passenger side of eastbound Chevy Tahoe driven by Maia E, O’Connell, 17, Coffeyville.

After impact the Jeep traveled off the road and overturned. The Tahoe left the road and rolled onto its roof…
