SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Good Things Utah) – It is the first day of October and that means Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Barela from the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition joined us this morning to share how important it is for domestic violence victims to make a safety plan in advance. And there are state resources and help for just that.
Barela tells us that the 24/7 statewide resource phone number called LINKLine was established in 1993. This is where anyone can find legal services, pet boarding, even housing options. It is an anonymous safe space where the caller can simply give basic information about their situation and there is someone on the other end of the line trained to help figure out resources and solutions for what is best to do next…
