911 Call Sheds New Light on Last Month’s Paddlefish Robbery

Longtime Walt Disney World visitors were stunned to learn last month that authorities in Florida were searching for a man who had robbed Paddlefish at Disney Springs.

A staple of Disney Springs, Paddlefish sits on the shores of Disney Springs and is designed to resemble a steamboat. Originally opening in 1977 as Empress Lilly, the Paddlefish building has welcomed millions of guests.

In 1996, the restaurant operated as Fulton’s Crab House until 2016, when it was transformed into Paddlefish.

Roughly two weeks after the incident occurred, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office released the 911 call made by the Paddlefish employees that night, revealing more details about the harrowing encounter.

The Latest Information

According to Fox 35, the employees were unable to identify the man, who put garbage bags over their heads and wrestled them to the ground.

The employees further stated that the man was armed with “some sort of spray,” but did not have a traditional weapon.

Eventually, the employees were able to free themselves and call 911.
