Two firefighters injured after laundromat fire in West Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two firefighters were injured as crews battled a fire at a West Knoxville business on Thursday, a Rural Metro Fire spokesperson said.

Crews responded to a fire at Coin Laundry in the 400 block of N. Cedar Bluff Road around 7:30 p.m., where heavy fire was observed on the front side of the business and spreading to the roof.

Two firefighters were injured. One was transported to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, Rural Metro spokesperson Jeff Bagwell said.
