FRANKFORT, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman announced that his office’s Violent Crime Reduction Team has secured a conviction and two new felony indictments in Jefferson County.
That’s according to a news release from the attorney general’s office.
Cody Cahill, 35, pleaded guilty in Jefferson Circuit Court to possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, a Class C felony, on Sept. 30. He was arrested after police found him with a handgun in the parking lot of an unlocked storage facility during a security check, according to the release.
Cahill, who has prior felony convictions, is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 17. He faces five years in prison…
