Santa Rosa County seeks public input for hazard plan

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Santa Rosa County is preparing to update its local mitigation strategy and wants the public’s help, according to officials.

The local mitigation strategy “helps identify and reduce risks from both natural and man-made hazards that could affect homes, health, businesses and other natural resources across northwest Florida,” an SRC news release said.

The plan would address the impacts of hurricanes, strong winds, flooding, storm surge, wildfires, extreme heat or cold, drought, and erosion, among other topics.
