Tallahassee teen, Florida’s Miss Juneteenth, looks to bring home the national title

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee teen is ready to compete on the national stage next week, after being crowned Florida’s Miss Juneteenth.

Corrin Hobbs, 16, will travel to Texas and vie for the title of Miss Juneteenth USA on October 11. She will compete in the essay, interview, talent and evening gown categories, according to a press release.

Since being crowned Florida’s Miss Juneteenth USA two months ago, Hobbs has used her platform to advocate for issues such as literacy and hunger. She runs her own campaign, called “Food is Freedom”, which helps address food deserts and insecurity in the state…
