NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Drivers could soon pay more to park in New Orleans, but it could be even more expensive if they don’t pay.
On Wednesday (Oct. 1), Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s administration and City Council Budget Chair Joe Giarrusso both indicated they’re planning an ordinance that would raise parking costs in the city.
Giarrusso has not yet introduced the ordinance, but the administration estimates that increased parking rates would generate an additional $5 million for the city next year, if the council approves…
