SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Independent School District is alerting families about a potential student protest planned for Tuesday, after receiving credible information that participants may be armed.
In a letter to families of students from Advanced Learning Academy-Tech, CAST Tech High School, and Fox Tech High School, SAISD says that while the district supports students’ First Amendment rights and encourages civic engagement, student safety remains the top priority.
“We received information about students possibly planning to protest on Tuesday, Oct. 7, during the school day, and we have credible evidence from area law enforcement that it will be an armed protest,” the letter stated…
