EUGENE, Ore. – New information has emerged regarding last Saturday’s arrest of Elijah Rogers at the Ferry Street Flat Apartments. The arrest involved the deployment of tear gas and was initially shrouded in mystery.
A recently filed search warrant affidavit reveals the circumstances leading to Rogers’ arrest for stalking and criminal mischief. The victim, who relocated to Eugene from California to evade Rogers, found herself pursued once more as he moved to the area, the affidavit said. Court records show that Rogers reportedly convinced another woman to rent an apartment in her name for him. He then began harassing the victim through threatening texts and incessant phone calls, reportedly contacting her 56 times in just 90 minutes, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit further alleges that Rogers followed the victim home and shattered her car’s rear window with a rock, later warning her against repairs as he intended to repeat the act.
