PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A report was made to the KOIN 6 Weather Team Thursday evening of a funnel cloud spotted west of Woodburn.
The report came in from a degreed meteorologist just outside of Woodburn Thursday evening. The rotation was spotted shortly after 6:30 p.m. with a “well defined wall cloud” and a “growing funnel” extending down.
After further investigation, radar indicated a small and strong rain cell southeast of McMinnville between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Radar velocity and outbound winds showed signs of rotation, which is typical within funnel clouds…
