SEATTLE — Hours before a shooting on Seattle’s waterfront in late July, the accused shooter appeared in front of the City Council to pitch his idea of installing “ceiling-mounted retractable paintball turrets” in public spaces to deter violence.
After his arrest, Gregory Timm, 32, told Seattle police officers he was concerned about crime in the city and claimed he was forced to shoot the wheelchair-bound victim, according to videos obtained this week by KOMO News through a public records request.
