Alabama law raising medical consent age goes into effect

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – New laws took effect in Alabama at the start of the month and last session’s Senate Bill 101 is among them.

One raised the medical age of consent from age 14 to 16, which means parents in Alabama are going to have to give permission for their kids to receive medical services for two more years than was previously required.
