A major fishing contest aims to shield Southwest Florida’s waters. The RedSnook Catch and Release Charity Tournament runs October 24-26, 2025, with proceeds benefiting the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. Anglers can start from three spots: Naples, Goodland, or Chokoloskee.
“Southwest Florida’s waterways drive more than $5 billion in economic output and are the foundation of our way of life,” said Conservancy President and CEO Rob Moher, according to Naples News. “Caring for these waters is our responsibility, and at the Conservancy, it’s central to our mission to ensure future generations inherit the same paradise we enjoy.”
The 2024 event brought in $210,000. Sign-ups, sponsors, and web auctions funded teaching for 2,000 kids. The money also backed mangrove studies and work to keep water clean…
