TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo woman is teaming up with Cherry Street Mission to bring free haircuts to those in need, launching a new effort called the Look Good, Feel Good project.
The event, set for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cherry Street Mission, will feature local stylists volunteering their time to provide haircuts for residents at the shelter. The project began with a conversation between Sarah Smith, a local volunteer, and mission staff.
“Being able to give someone their confidence back is something that’s just so beautiful,” Smith said. “It’s an honor to be able to do it, and I’m excited for the guests that want to take advantage of this program.”…
