Crews to break ground on $6.03 million sidewalk and infrastructure project in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Crews are preparing to break ground on a Wrightsville Avenue Sidewalk gap-filling project.

According to the City of Wilmington, the $6.03 million project will improve pedestrian and bicycle access along the 2.6-mile stretch of Wrightsville Avenue.

The City says construction will begin next week along Wrightsville Avenue and will fill sidewalk gaps between Independence Boulevard and Hawthorne Drive…
