The Worcester Housing Authority (WHA) broke ground on a key component of the second phase of the Curtis Apartments redevelopment. The Economic Opportunity Center is a mixed use building that will house twenty four new apartments, office, supportive services programs and a new Great Brook Valley Branch of the Worcester Public Library. Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll (D), Worcester Mayor Joe Petty and Worcester City Manager Eric Batista were among the state and local leaders in attendance.
