Austin, TX — Austin Smiles is once again bringing hope, healing, and brighter futures to children in need. The Austin-based nonprofit is launching its 47th medical mission trip to El Salvador this week, with a team of 35 volunteers traveling to San Salvador to provide life-changing care for children born with cleft lip and palate.
Transforming Lives in a Week
During the mission, surgeons will perform 32 cleft lip and palate surgeries, while dental and speech specialists provide care for more than 50 children. In total, nearly 100 patients will be served, children who otherwise would have little or no access to this kind of treatment…
